The Edison Diner is not like your typical diner. When
walking through the door I was surprised by how friendly
and gorgeous the hostess was when I was greeted and seated
down. Looking around the diner was extremely crowded; there
were people all around waiting to be seated at this diner.
I thought to myself "I would never wait to be seated at a
diner nor have I ever had to", I waited only about 3
minutes before the waitress who was surprisingly pleasing
to the eye as well as very prompt and friendly came over to
me to ask what I wanted to drink. She brought me my Coke
and asked if I wanted a few more minutes before ordering, I
jokingly said that I didn’t even have time to review the
menu. The menu itself was decent looking about 4 pages in
length and the food selection was like that of a typical
restaurant and the prices were average. After
contemplating what I wanted I closed my menu and decided to
go with the basic Cheeseburger deluxe. Within minutes she
was back to take my order, after telling her what I wanted
she told me that it would be right up.	She took my menu
and was off.
Next stop was to check out the bathrooms. As I made my way
to the restrooms I noticed that the place had such a family
atmosphere. It was nicely decorated with gorgeous floral
arrangements and pictures. The bathroom was very clean
considering how busy the restaurant was and everything was
stocked ex. Paper towels, toilet paper etc.
When returned to my booth I took out my notes when the very
appealing hostess that sat me down earlier then greeted me
asking if I wanted more to drink. Of course just to keep
her to around I said yes and watched her refill my glass.
I have never had that happen either. The waitress then
brought me my cheeseburger, which was a very good size
portion along with steaming French fries and the all so
familiar coleslaw and pickle, which actually looked decent.
The ketchup bottle was actually full and as I put the
ketchup on my burger, there walked the hostess again. Damn
was she a hottie! The food was delicious and the waitress
came over and asked me if everything was ok twice. After
finishing every last drop of the coleslaw and even eating
the pickle, she asked if I wanted to have dessert. I am
not one for desserts I added, she said why don’t you come
look at the selection.	So I said why not, besides I get to
check out the hostess.	The case with the desserts was
filled with a variety of pies, cakes, and pastry’s.
Everything looked delicious and I had a hard time choosing.
After contemplating for 10 minutes I decided I would go
for the Strawberry Cheesecake.	The portion was huge and I
could not even finish the rest of it but it just melted in
your mouth. You could tell that it was freshly made.
She then brought me the bill; I left my tip on the booth
and made my way up to the front hoping that the beautiful
host would take the bill. The counter was filled with all
sorts of goodies mints (like any other diner) and also
chocolate chip oatmeal cookies (which the gorgeous hostess
politely told me), which were out of this world. I ate at
least 4 and I was already full from the delicious
cheesecake. I then paid and made my way out the
surprisingly cleaned front doors but first taking one more
glance at her and seeing her beautiful smile and hearing
her say “ Have a good day.”
My overall experience was extremely satisfying and I would
definelty recommend that if anyone is in the Edison area to
stop by this dinner. To all the men: Hopefully Jennifer,
the beautiful hostess will be there so you can see what I
am talking about. She made it worth the drive.
