The Frazer Burger and Big Mac are both ground beef patties
on a bun with all the fixins and "Special sauce." Neither
McDonald's or the Frazer Diner ask you how you want your
burger done. The similarity stops there.
Millions of humans all around the world can eat a Big Mac
in their own home town, but if you want a Frazer Burger,
you will have to come to Southeastern PA and get there
before 2 P.M. If you prefer real American down-and-dirty
diner fare over manufactured crud, you may have to travel
some extra miles and your kids won't get to play in a room
full of filthy balls. Yes, you might have to deal with
some objection from your young ones. They might not
appreciate the hardwood interior, the REAL marble
countertop or the intricate tilework. They might not love
the vintage O'Mahony clock prominently displayed over the
counter as much as you do.
...but 30 years down the road, when perhaps the Frazer
Diner has been bulldozed for a new state of the art 30-pump
ghast station with obligatory convienience store, they
might remember their experience here. If you had bought
them a Happy Meal, it would have been guaranteed to be a
non-event.
Getting back to the Frazer Burger...you might have extended
your life an extra day by opting for a bowl of Brocolli and
Brown rice instead. The Frazer Burger comes with a
guarantee of saturated fat in multiple forms--the beef
patty, the bacon, the "special" sauce, and the fries on the
side. You probably wouldn't be eating your Frazer Burger
alongside Richard Simmons, but the exculsion of that
possibility is of high value in my book.
Let's just say if you happen to find yourself in
Southeastern PA, you owe it to yourself to experience one
of the oldest and most authentic diners in the state.
