Oklahoma is the state where West meets Midwest and Midwest
meets South. One of the best ways to experience the Sooner
state's multiple flavors is to drive across it on what
pieces remain of the ever-famous highway, Route 66. While
driving through Tulsa, you can get your kicks at the Metro
Diner, a long, sleek, neon-clad, full-but-fast service
retroraunt. While a recent addition to the legendary
highway, it fits in well with every other eatin' place on
the 2500 or so mile stretch which each contain enough auto
memorabillia to fill a museum. Its enormous sign makes it
exrememly hard to miss which would be quite a shame,
because not only is it a fun place to look at stuff on the
walls, but it also serves up some down home, damn good Okie
grub. The Chicken Fried Steak is a triple bypass on a
plate, but, gol darn, does it ever go good in your gullett.
Sorry, there is no Sushi chef present here.
